Pumpkins are not just for Jack-O-Lanterns! Pumpkins very inexpensive right now since it is after Halloween! You can use pumpkins to make pumpkin soup, roasted pumpkin, roasted pumpkin seeds, etc. First, we will show how to properly cut a pumpkin. You'll need a big knife (the bigger the better), due to the vast diameter of the pumpkin. You also will want two buckets, one for seeds and one for flesh. Also, keep a garbage bag handy as a lot of garbage comes off of a pumpkin. They are messy, but it's worth it because you can actually get a lot of food off of them. When cutting the pumpkin, you should first trim the top and the bottom into a flat surface, which makes it easier to work with the pumpkin. Next, cut the pumpkin in half, and then scrape out all the insides with a big spoon. Then we're shown how to flip the pumpkin half over and skin it. Once the pumpkin is peeled, we cut it into smaller pieces so it's easier to work with. You'll find that the flesh is very soft and nice. Finally, we will show how to cut these pieces into 1-inch cubes, which are good to make soup with.
