How to Make Japanese pickles

Explore cuisine from the far east without leaving your kitchen! In this video, learn how to make Japanese pickles! To complete this recipe, you will need:

1/4 cup chopped carrots

1/4 cup chopped cucumber

1/4 cup chopped daikon

1 tsp salt

3/4 cup water

3 tbsp rice vinegar

1 tbsp sugar

1 tsp soy sauce



Instructions:

Cut your vegetables into 2 inch strips, toss them with salt and set aside for 30 minutes. Combine remaining ingredients in a sealable container. Once vegetables are done, drain, rinse, and dry them before adding them to the liquids. Put in fridge to sit for at least four hours.
